Womens water polo

Our teams

Our two women's teams cater for all abilities from international players to juniors wanting to develop in the sport. Through consistently strong performances over the past decade we are one of the top women's water polo team in Southern England and London.

We are extremely proud that one of our players, Frankie Snell, was in the GB Women's Team at London 2012. Read her blog.

Our first team plays in the top Division of the British Water Polo League and for many years has qualified to take on the best teams in Europe in the LEN European Club Championships.

Our second team plays in the Third Division of the British League.

We also play in the London League.

 

Interested in joining us?

Selection for League teams takes place in July/August but new members are welcome throughout the year.

To play for us and to train with us you must become a member of Penguin - see the Membership area for fees and how to join. Our minimum requirements are:

• able to swim 1,500-2,000m per session
• proficient in all four swimming strokes
• swim 100m free in under 1m 45s and 200m free in under 4 minutes.

Training sessions

Tuesdays 7pm - 9pm at the Shell Centre, Waterloo, SE1 7NA. (Download map (pdf) - use entrance C.)
You will need to have a Shell Sports Pass for entry into the building. Please contact us before training for the first time - if you are not accompanied by a member of the Club you will not be allowed entry.

Wednesdays 7.30pm - 9.30pm at St Paul's School, Lonsdale Road, Barnes SW13 9JT.
The first hour is swim training shared with the Masters Swimming secton.
